Breakfast was generally good, very filling nicely prepared...

Breakfast was generally good, very filling nicely prepared each morning. Eggs, Fruit, juice bread, etc. We were able to walk to the nearest beach "Bocagrande" about 30 min away. Pleasant, no hassle and ate food along the way back. Lots of fresh fruit stands and local eateries along the way.

Worked out well for 3 nights in Cartagena

Basic, low cost, economical hotel. Air conditioning worked well. Very good bathroom and shower (when hot water worked). Lovely staff. Basic but healthy breakfast.

Clean and modern room.

Clean and modern room. Nice host (the one who not tried to sell tours and instead was preparing the breakfast) . AC was working well. Good location.

Annoyingly the host constantly tried to sell us tours to islands / beaches even though we refused kindly several times. Does he receive commission? Everyday the same breakfast (toast with scrambled eggs)

Our stay at this hotel was really good.

Our stay at this hotel was really good. The breakfast was prepared in front of our eyes every morning. Fresh fruit, fresh juice, eggs and bred. The location is great. We would recommend this place.

It was on a quiet street, close to the wall and the historic...

It was on a quiet street, close to the wall and the historic center. The young man in the evening worked harder to understand English and he was helpful.

We needed to know Spanish here. We did well in other locations with a translation app, but there was no WiFi, so the app was not working well. Because there was no WiFi they required cash payment, and we intended to use a credit card. There was no hot water and the water pressure was low in the shower.

Great place, good location

Everything in the hotel was great. It's clean, in a great location, very nice staff, good breakfast, hot water in the shower, close to market. It's safe because someone from inside has to open the door for you but sometimes the lady was busy cleaning the rooms and she had to hurry to open the door. The could be a system to open it in an easier way.

The room could have a fan or AC with fan mode. Neighborhood is a little bit busy in the weekend, we heard music from the outside.

You can find a cheaper place if you're on a budget

The staff were friendly and the hotel was very close to the city centre. The breakfast was nice but a bit limited. Our room was in the back so it was a bit quite which was nice. Overall, it was a nice place but considering the facilities and everything, I think you can find a cheaper place on the same level.

They couldn't accept my international card so I had to pay in cash so that was a bit complicated. Though it might have been my card but later on I was able to use my card in stores. The shower was okay but it kept going really hot or cold every few minutes. There were also a few stains on the pillows but the room looked clean. There was no water in the room and there was also this sound which I assume was the electric heater constantly going on and off.

What was the highlight of Hotel Casa Serrezuela

It was nice, worthy to walk around a bit in Cartagena.

Maris was always there to open the gate, answer the questions and she was always kind. The wi-fi was good, a/c worked pretty well and the breakfast had fruit, juice, omelete and coffee, enough. Its a small place, not so many guests, easy to check in and check out. Also the location was walking distance from most of the tourist attractions.

It can be noisy in the neighborhood, also there is a noise coming from the shower heater, the need to have someone to open the gate everytime you get in and out. I like places where I have flexibility and access.

What was the highlight of Hotel Casa Serrezuela

Great staff and a great location!

My first impression was that this hotel was just OK, but looks are deceiving! It has a GREAT location in the Walled City, the room was always clean, and breakfast was excellent every day. The street is noisy with salsa music day and night, but so is every street in Cartagena, that is part of the charm, so don’t try to escape it! The staff were excellent and very, very patient with my poor Spanish skills. I would recommend this hotel especially for parties of 1-2 people who want a great immersion into the Walled City.

I have no suggestions.

Excellent quality price ratio

Perfect location in old historic center, close to many restaurants. Room was extra clean and bed super comfortable. We loved our stay!

More options for breakfast (I have a sweet tooth...) would be great, but still it was delicious.
